My STORY
I AM ALISON
It all started in Highschool when I oversaw the special needs class. I wanted to get experience and learn more about different diagnoses. I graduated and I worked at IN and OUT for 5 years. I then researched on how the brain is affected with Autism and found it very interesting. I then reached out to my first company and got hired on the stop. I have been in the education field for almost 10 plus years.I have worked with many different companies. I started out working in- home as a Registered Behavior Tech and then branched out working in the clinic and schools as a paraprofessional.
This has always been my passion.
These children are dear to my heart and they are very unique. I was terminated from my company and it put me in a spiral of depression, so then I decided to do a career change and started inventing and modeling. I did some modeling on my own at home and out in the community. One day I was reading my VOUGE magazine and saw my picture in it. After doing this career change, it was a big difference. I wanted to think about inventions for children in the ABA industry, so I came up with an errorless learning procedure called Error Correction Procedure. It has reached out to the BCBA board of education and others around the world. I also invented a picture communication book for children on the spectrum to teach functional communication skills.
Then I branched out and tried coming up with different recipes, I came across my recipe Spicy Pickle Green bean casserole that got recognized and put in a recipe book. After creating all these inventions I was able to financially build my own business called ASAP Interventions and my logo is a blue broken heart. I designed my logo regarding how autism affects the brain with children with autism and ASAP describes the implementation of interventions quickly at a young age.I provide a service called discreet trail training and sell token boards that I put together. Our mission statement is Never underestimate, but believe what’s within. The service is for ages 2 to 8 with an ASD diagnosis only. I run this business out of my house right now, but plan on expanding out in the community.
